Highly competitive pay rates
We know that you've worked hard to get where you are today—that's why we reward you with excellent pay rates, up to $40 per hour for RNs. In addition, select assignments offer sign-on and completion bonuses, ranging from $1,000 to $6,000 for a 13-week assignment. Many of our assignments offer shift differentials for evening and night shifts, with increased pay rates for each hour worked. The pay rates we quote are for regular pay and most RNs earn more due to shift differentials, overtime and other bonuses. Contact your recruiter for further details.

Free, quality housing

Medical insurance
You want to feel secure when you choose to work as a traveling nurse. That's why we offer you two excellent medical insurance plans to choose from, including day-one coverage. Both of our health insurance plans meet a wide range of health care needs, while keeping your out-of-pocket expenses to a bare minimum. Your medical benefits include annual wellness preventive services, physician exams and acute illness treatment, lab tests, X-rays and other diagnostic tests, hospitalization, prenatal care and a prescription drug card.

Dental insurance
We offer our travel nurses the choice of two dental plans, including day-one coverage. Both of our dental insurance plans cover all preventive services and keep your out-of-pocket expenses to a minimum.

Free basic life insurance
We provide you with no-cost accidental death and dismemberment life insurance. You may also purchase supplemental life insurance for yourself and your dependents at a reasonable additional cost.

Discount vision program
With our vision care benefit, you and your family can save on eye exams, prescription lenses, frames, contact lenses and other eye care products. This program is offered through our partnership with VSP, a national discount vision provider. Access to VSP is contingent upon your medical/dental enrollment.

No lapse in insurance
As a Preferred Healthcare travel nurse, you can take time off in between assignments with no lapse in your insurance coverage, provided you start your next assignment with us on or before 30 days from the last day of your previous assignment.

Professional liability insurance
Our excellent, comprehensive professional liability insurance—available to all our health care professionals, completely free of charge—provides you with coverage from the first day on assignment.

401(k) retirement plan
It’s never too early to start planning for your retirement—and we want to help you. That’s why we offer you an excellent 401(k) plan that includes employer contributions of 50 cents for each dollar you defer, up to six percent of your salary. Annually, you may contribute up to 50 percent of your salary or $14,000 ($18,000 if you’re age 50 or older). Plus, there’s no waiting period. You can begin building your retirement nest egg with tax-free dollars from the first day of your Preferred Healthcare Staffing assignment.

Free travel reimbursement
