Yale-New Haven Hospital is the fifth oldest hospital in the United States. Today, Yale-New Haven is a 900-bed private, not-for-profit teaching hospital affiliated with the Yale University School of Medicine. Serving the needs of Connecticut, New England and beyond, the hospital has more than 5,000 employees, including more than 1,500 clinical nurses and a medical staff of nearly 3,000.

Swedish Medical Center—Seattle, Washington

The largest, most comprehensive nonprofit health care provider in the Pacific Northwest, the Swedish Medical Center represents virtually all specialties in its 1,296-bed facilities.
